2. Purpose of processing

This public catalog provides the detection signatures produced by the traicer harvester together with the associated public evidence, and lets you suggest new entries and give feedback on the reliability of individual entries. Beyond the technically necessary operation of the website and the forms you actively use, no personal data is collected.

3. Data collected when visiting the website

When the website is accessed, technically necessary data automatically transmitted by your browser is processed:

• IP address (technically necessary to deliver the website)
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Date and time of access

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website). Your language preference is stored solely locally in your browser (localStorage entry “traicer-signature-browser-lang”) and is not transmitted to us. No cookies are set.

4. Hosting

This website is hosted by DigitalOcean, LLC, 101 6th Ave, New York, NY 10013, USA. Technically necessary connection data is processed in the course of this. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place; access logs are automatically deleted after a maximum of 30 days. No merging with other data sources takes place.

5. Suggestion and feedback forms

The catalog offers two forms: one to suggest new entries and one to give feedback on the reliability of existing entries. The information you enter into these forms is transmitted to our server, stored there, and reviewed before any publication (moderation).

Data processed: the form contents you enter (for example the name and vendor of a suggested entry, a source URL, the reason for or a description of your feedback, and technical details such as operating-system or scanner version) and — only in the suggestion form and only optionally — a contact email address for follow-up questions.

Purpose: maintaining and assuring the quality of the catalog and protecting it against abusive submissions.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in an accurate, spam-free catalog); for an optionally provided contact email address, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

Abuse protection: to prevent automated submissions we use an IP-based rate limit and a hidden form field (honeypot). No emails are sent via third-party providers and no waitlists are maintained.

6. No tracking tools, no third-party content

This website uses no tracking or analytics cookies and embeds no third-party content. In particular, fonts are loaded exclusively from our own server — Google Fonts is not integrated, so no IP address is transmitted to third parties for that purpose.
